Bucs’ Kendell Beckwith has surgery after car crash
An automobile crash could cost the Buccaneers one of their starting linebackers for the beginning of the 2018 season.
Speaking to local reporters Thursday, general manager Jason Licht revealed that second-year linebacker Kendell Beckwith underwent surgery to repair an ankle that was fractured last week in a single-car accident.
Beckwith likely will miss the entirety of Tampa Bay’s offseason program. In fact, Licht conceded that the former LSU star’s status is in jeopardy for Week 1, per the team’s official website.
NBA spokesman Mike Bass told Associated Press recently that the league spends billions creating the games that would serve as the foundation for legalized sports betting, while bearing all of the risk and therefore incurring enormous additional expenses for compliance and enforcement.
As a result, we believe it is reasonable for operators to compensate the NBA with a small percentage of the total amount bet on our games, Bass added.
Elway expects trade talks to pick up next week with interested teams, per Jhabvala.
The Broncos are in an interesting spot at No. 5 overall, seeing as it’s possible that one of the top quarterback prospects could fall to them.
We are only 10 days away from the 2018 NFL Draft. We have heard many different reports as far as which teams will draft whom, and if any will look to move up in the draft. The New York Jets shifted many big boards when they made a deal with the Indianapolis Colts to leap ahead to pick No. 3 of the first round, but that may not be all. There are now rumors that a massive three-team trade may be in the works. And this one would flip everything upside down. The Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills and New York Giants may have something brewing.
The Browns would land the Giants’ No. 2 overall pick, the Giants would then get the Bills’ No. 4 and No. 12 picks, while the Bills would find themselves with the No. 1 overall pick. Did you get all of that? This deal would make a lot of sense for all parties involved. The Bills would get to choose which franchise quarterback they want, the Browns would select whichever top-rated QB is left, while the Giants would be free to do whatever they wanted. Stay tuned, because this thing could be huge.
